The drama and the search for Dr.Mcdreamy ...

It was wedding was more than what we've hoped for.  Perfect weather... solemn ceremony...the people that mattered we're there... For us it was dreamy...

But the day after was a different story.

Saturday - on our way back to Manila, Richard received a text message saying my sister had a seizure and they to rush her to Medical City. All I could do is pray and cry. Traffic pa sa SLEX. We had to stop at Muntinlupa then when home to Quezon City after which we went to Medical City to visit my sister. At that time, all was unknown to us what caused her seizure.

Sunday - we had to push thru with lunch with relatives and friends that was planned weeks before the wedding. Nobody knew about Ate's situation. Just Tatay, Kuya and Me. We had to keep it among ourselves, even from Nanay. Mahirap mag entertain ng guests, knowing Ate is in the hospital and that evening Kuya was leaving for the US.

Monday- still no word from the doctors what was wrong with Ate.

Tuesday- 1am she had her MRI. Come morning we knew what it was... A 4.5x4.5cm tumor on Ate's left brain. It was putting pressure on her brain hence the seizure.

Come wednesday we were discharged from Medical City and we were advised to shop around for a Neuro Surgeon.

Thursday -  We talked to 2 Neuro Surgeons, still looking for Mcdreamy... Was supposed to fly out  and go back to work but had to rebook. Sis needs me here.

Friday -  Talked to Doctor number 3. Still confused on who we trust Ate's life with.

Ate is doing fine these days doing normal stuff. But we need her "bukol" to be removed soon. We're scheduling her operation on August 21 and we definitely need your prayers. Let us pray for her doctor, for Ate and her recovery.

Also please pray for me na I'd be strong for my family. I am physically, emotionally and financially drained.  :(  I do hope I still have work waiting for me in NZ.  Work will take a back seat for now as i'd be in Manila indefinitely...

The week after...

Thank you guys so much for sharing the experience with us. It was indeed a very beautiful day. Friends and family gathered to witness Richard and I stand before the Lord to be blessed in Holy Matrimony.

The weather was perfect, people we grew up with, people we love were there, food was fab and ceremony was hilarious! There were a few mishaps but it is what it is and I love it, It brought character to our wedding. We feel so blessed! We can't thank everybody enough for taking time, traveling all the way to Batangas to be with us last friday. Happiness!

We're still waiting for our paparazzi's photos. We had 6 photographers last friday, diba panalo!

Anyway, here are some pictures from Kuya our friends Arnel "Mamang Kalbo" :), Bendelu ,Lawrence and Badong. Heaps of salamats! To Des and Mae dami din salamat!!!

There are a lot of people to thank, and photos to upload but we need to tend to life's drama first ... I will still be in Manila indefinitely...

The lovers, the dreamers and me...

We had a few mishaps lately with the wedding stuff. But it does happen. No such thing as a perfect wedding...
Just read somewhere that life can never be perfect without it's imperfections...

Am not expecting much, I know there'll be lot of surprises... I have my faith.

Come hell or high water tuloy ang kasal! :D

Caleruega-Close to Nature,Closer to God

Naku, layo pala kasal namin talaga! The distance will be a test of true friendship. We went to Caleruega around 8am, a wee bit early for our Pre-Cana and Canonical Interview with Father Stephen. The Pre-Cana was fun and bitin! I must admit was a bit skeptical about the seminar, thought it was boring and thinking it'll be a total time waster. Father made it very interesting and fun. Salamat po! Richard remembered na Fr. Stephen, when he was just a Seminarian pa lang, He conducted a recollection/retreat at their school at Sta.Catalina. So ang nangyari the Canonical was just kwentuhan. :)

After the interview and the seminar, we took a short walk around Caleruega (with our beautiful Michan), It's definitely worth the trip. So friends, wag nyo kami isumpa kasi malayo. Di po namin kasalanan pagtaas ng presyo ng gasolina. Its a beautiful place, we would love to share this experience with you.

Sabi nga ng tagline nila its "Close to Nature,Closer to God!" Dahil malayo idri-drive nyo, mamahalin kayo ni Lord! Promise!!!

Heaven and Eggs.

Richard and I just got back from St. Claire down at Katipunan Ave. There's no harm in trying the age old tradition of offering eggs for a "rain-free" weather on our wedding day. I still don't get the connection but hey, wala naman mawawala.

So St. Claire, sana makagawa ka ng madaming leche flan at please help us pray for good weather sa 8-8-8. :)

Ay, we went to Mang Jimmy's sa Balara. Still yummy though I think nagtitipid na si Mang Jimmy's di na sya 2 ulams plus 1, 3 ulams plus 1 na lang. Ang may picture na menu nila! Asenso na si Mang Jimmy's!

Sorry po, but as much as we want it to be grand,
limited lang po budget namin. 150 guests lang.

Dami pa kamaganak namin naku...kung alam nyo lang...

Pasensya po.

Not your typical girlie girl here

I just want to surrender.
A wedding is just a day and a marriage is forever.
Don't want to fuss over the small details...
am no bridezilla (so far) hehehe
Lets get this over with.

Life is more complicated than this.

Stressed

Been having funny dreams about the wedding. Imagine all the stuff you don't want to happen on your wedding day happened in this "funny" dream. It's just paranoia. Everything now is under control however things are intangible.

Oh well, all will be over soon.

Hello Philippines!

Mabuhay!

FInally got home safe and sound.
Flight was terrible. Domestic flight from Melbourne to Sydney was delayed,
Sydney to Manila flight was also delayed because of the domestic flights.
Was being paged at Sydney airport. Lots of running with a 10kg backpack.
I was second to the last person on the plane. It was an 8 hour flight, I was so anxious to get home.
Was so stressed. Am very thankful the 8 hour flight is over.
Now, I need to relax and enjoy this...

Hello Manila! Am back!!!!

Am back Aussie!

Went on a road tour, shopping spree, watched a movie, lovely lunches etc... Totally grateful for it! Thank you Awesome Aussie Aunties, bawi ako sa susunod:D

This little piggy when to Leyte...

This is not your usual pamamanhikan. Parents of the groom wasn't there. The bride was no where to be found. But alas, finally it happened. Richard flew to Leyte on a stormy saturday morning to meet up with the bride's super mega extended family. Then paid a visit to one of our Lolo's at the Leyte landing.
